  1. DAY 1: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – SORAYPAMPA

    Our private transportation will pick you up from your hotel between 4:00 and 4:30 a.m. to head northwest towards Mollepata, a town at 2 900 masl, on the route will appreciate Andean villages and extensive areas of potato and corn cultivation.

    We will stop for a while for breakfast (not included) and last minute shopping (ponchos, batteries, sunblock, etc.)

    We will drive for 1 hour until Challacancha at 3 675 m.a.s.l., after a quick explanation by our guide will begin a 3-hour walk through rocky paths, streams and Andean landscapes covered with ichu (straw).

    At midday will arrive our first camp in Soraypampa at 3 850 masl where will taste a traditional lunch made with Andean ingredients.

    In the afternoon, we will make a journey for 1 hour and a half to the Humantay Lake, a popular natural attraction in Cusco that will amaze us with its beautiful turquoise tones.

    After this adventure will return to Soraypampa, where will have dinner and stay the night until the following day.

  2. Day 2: SORAYPAMPA – CHAULLAY

    Our activities will begin at 5:00 am, we will taste a nutritious breakfast and will prepare for the hardest part of the trek.

    We will walk for 1 hour to “Salkantaypampa” at 4 100 masl where we will rest for a while to continue climbing up to “Soyrococha” at 4 400 masl, a resting place that will let us rehydrate and enjoy our snacks.

    Continue the ascent to the Abra Salkantay, a pass between 2 snow-capped mountains “Humantay” and the imposing “Salkantay” at 4 632 masl (this will be the highest point in the excursion).

    On the top will have an impressive view of a mountain range and part of the Inca Trail that hides among the beautiful Andean landscapes. We will take all kinds of memories of this beautiful moment.

    Then we will begin the descent for 1 hour and a half until Wayracpampa, a small community that will provide a typical Andean lunch and will rest a bit to continue our journey.

    During the following stretch will feel the change to warming weather until arriving Chaullay, our second camp where we will enjoy an exquisite dinner and stay until the next day.

  3. Day 3: CHAULLAY – SAHUAYACO – SANTA TERESA

    In the morning will taste a nutritious breakfast before our 5-hour walk to Sahuayaco, known as ” the beach ” for being very close to the Salkantay basin at 2 200 masl.

    On the way will appreciate tropical valleys, small towns and fruit crops such as banana, granadilla, avocado and, cocoa.

    We will arrive at “Sahuayaco” in the afternoon to taste a lunch made with traditional ingredients of the zone.

    To move to the next destination will take a tourist transport that will drive us to “Santa Teresa” (travel time is 1 hour).

    In the evening will have arrived at Santa Teresa, our third camp, an area of lush vegetation and tropical climate at 1 811 masl where we will have dinner and sleep until the next day.

  4. Day 4: SANTA TERESA – HIDROELÉCTRICA – AGUAS CALIENTES

    We will wake up and have a delicious fruit breakfast (this day will be calmer).

    We will get ready to start trekking for 3 hours to Hidroelectrica, a walk through valleys, forests of dense vegetation and waterfalls.

    At mid-day will have arrived at Hidroeléctrica to taste a delicious lunch and have a little rest.

    Continue our walk for 3 hours among a great variety of flora and fauna which in combination create attractive tropical landscapes accompanied by railroads.)

    In Aguas Calientes, we will go to our hotel for dinner and coordinate with the guide details for the next day.

  5. Day 5: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO

    This day will be for knowing completely the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, we will begin early having breakfast and hike up for 2 hours to the archaeological center.

    Inside the precinct, our guide will give us a tour for 2 hours explaining in detail the history of Machu Picchu.

    We will visit temples, streets, houses, squares and agricultural areas. After our tour, you can climb the mountain Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu (reservation in advance).

    Descend to Aguas Calientes for 1 hour and a half, in the town you can do some activities such as visiting the thermal baths of the Inca, lunch or visit the market for up to half an hour before the departure of your train.

    You will depart from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, the time of the trip is 2 hours.

    In the station of Ollantaytambo, our private transport awaits you to take you back to Cusco.

    We will leave you in the security of your hotel.

Truly a fantastic tour. We thoroughly enjoyed every step of this tour and the final bungee Jumping was an adventure I don’t think I would ever able to forget, I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who loves adventure.

You have to be crazy about adventure tours to build a theme that displays the tours so elegantly that a person browsing the tours on site literally falls in love with place even before booking the tour.
