The Sacred Valley of the Incas is a marvelous Andean paradise of enchanting green meadows and wild rivers that feed its flora and fauna.

For having a wide variety of architectural remains of the Inca age in its geographical area, it was called “the Sacred Valley of the Inkas” The combination of these ruins goes in perfect harmony with nature, thanks to this detail is still preserved despite the passaging time.

Today, there are hundreds of indigenous communities and populations in its territory that preserve their culture and traditions, the heritage of their ancestors.

Between the most popular are Chinchero, Pisaq, Ollantaytambo and Urubamba, places that protect amongst their localities, architectural remains and Inca citadels. Even in the interior of many of them as with Ollantaytambo, its population continues to live in total normality.

Each of these tourist destinations will be visited in an orderly way, knowing their history and the aim behind their construction. Also, this is a tour of low difficulty (people of any age can make it).

  1. Day 1: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY OF THE INKAS

    Early, our private transportation will pick you up at your hotel between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. To begin our adventure to the southeast of the city of Cusco.

    The first tourist center in the itinerary is “Pisaq” an ancient Inca city located 1 hour from Cusco. This construction is on the hillside of a mountain, at the top of the same town of Pisaq. To access it, we will have to walk uphill for a few minutes.

    With our guide, you will visit the citadel through the terraces, Qanturaquay, Intihuatana and Tankanamarca. Afterward, we will return to the town to go to the popular handicraft market where you will buy all kinds of agricultural products, medicinal plants, and souvenirs.

    As the second destination of the tour, you will arrive at “Urubamba” the time of the trip from Pisaq to this point is about 20 minutes, you will taste a traditional Andean lunch that will recharge your energies to continue the journey.

    Our third tourist destination is the Architectural Complex of “Ollantaytambo” this was used by the Incas as a resting place (“Tambo”), Although the years passed you can still appreciate the historical legacy that endures between its picturesque streets and some colonial houses that were built on Inca basis. It is also called “The Living Inka City”.

    You will hike up to the upper part of the town where you will find the archeological remains that once served as a fortress against the enemy attacks of the Inca Empire, with the guide you will explore the place, knowing the history hidden inside its walls.

    At the end, we will return to our transport that waits in the town, after a short journey of 30 minutes, will visit the last destination “The City of Chinchero” a town dedicated to the cultivation of the potato, the production of magnificent textiles and that offers to its visitors the option to visit and to know its history, one attraction Chinchero has is ” Our Lady of Monserrat ” a cathedral that was built based on an ancient Inca palace that belonged to a son of Pachacuteq (constructor of Machu Picchu) and that nowadays harbors traditional Cusco painting.

    We will also visit the center of production of fabrics with ancestral techniques Apu Pitusiray where will support the communities of weavers with the buy of their works. The tour will end returning to the city of Cusco, our transportation will drop off our travelers at their respective hotels or near the main square.

You have to be crazy about adventure tours to build a theme that displays the tours so elegantly that a person browsing the tours on site literally falls in love with place even before booking the tour.
